This is an interesting story out of Greensboro, NC; a group called College Bound Sisters is paying young girls 12-18 years old $1 dollar a day to not get pregnant. College Bound Sisters was founded at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro by a woman named Hazel Brown. Hazel Brown, a maternity nurse, thought there were too many young girls getting pregnant; so she decided to do something about it. She decided to create College Bound Sisters and set up a pretty unique program. Girls who participate in the program earn $1 dollar a day if they remain pregnancy free. Along with remaining not pregnant, they are also required to attend weekly meetings. The program is funded by a four year grant from the state of North Carolina as well as private donors.
