How much money do I make on music download purchases from my BuzzPage?
It depends on the price of the song or album. We pay artists 50% of the net sales price on all songs or albums that are sold through their BuzzPages. On a $.99 song download, music artists receive $.40 per song. On a $9.99 album download, music artists receive approximately $4.50 per album. Note that major label artists only see about $.08 to $.14 per song download through major labels and their online retailers. The difference between the sales price and the amount sent to you pays for the administration and infrastructure of the Buzztv Site, including hosting costs, bandwidth costs for broadcasting your songs and videos, e-commerce costs on music purchases, servicing and maintaining the digital distribution platform, advertising and promotion costs, etc… Although we are not a large corporation (just a few guys who love great music), our mission is to present your music to the world with the same professionalism as major labels use to present theirs.
