You’ll almost surely get more money for your stuff by selling it privately on ebay or Craigslist than you will by trading it in at Guitar Center. It doesn’t matter what you paid for your equipment. Guitar Center will give you only a fraction of what you paid for it, because they have to add a profit margin to it before re-selling it to someone else for less than new equipment would cost. That’s assuming your stuff is in excellent condition; if it requires any set up or repairs, you’ll get even less — IF they agree to take your stuff in trade at all.
