In Bank of America, they offer a SECURED CARD. Its also a credit card, it builds credit, only you have to make a security deposit. Meaning your credit line is equal to your security deposit starting at a minimum of $300-$10,000 in $100.00 increments. Only thing is that you cannot request for a credit line increase during the ‘secured’ status of your card which is from 9 months to a year. After which they will return your deposit and your card will be a regular credit card that has all the features and benefits of all other credit cards. But if making a deposit is not an option for you, for a new credit card holder WITHOUT a co-signer/applicant is morethan likely to be given $300.00. Unless atleast you are earning morethan $20.00/hr, they will grant you a $500.00 line. And if you will HAVE a co-signer/applicant, your credit line will depend on to who has the higher credit score. If your co-applicant is also a first time card holder, its again morelikely they will give you $300.00 credit
