The IGMP protocol runs natively on the “IP Only” versions of IOS on the Cisco 2600 Platforms. The “IP Plus” version of IOS is needed on the Cisco 1600 and 1700 Series routers in order to run IGMP. • What level of IOS is required for IGMP support? Platform dependent.
