well , HVAC is one of mechanical engineering majors and in order to get your BSc degree , you’ll take intensive course in calculus and math .According to me , i took 3 courses of calculus and i’m about to take 2 courses of engineering math and differentials and finally one course of numerical methods .You will need them in studying other subjects that are required to get your degree . So , ” look before you leap ” .
