The HRV should be cleaned and inspected once every season [3-4 months]. To maintain efficiency of the unit, washing the filters in warm water and rinsing the heat recovery core are key. Also, inspect the fan blowers for buildup of dust. This could affect the performance of the blower. Inspect the weather hoods on the exterior of the home to make sure they are clear of debris to allow sufficient air flow.
