There is approximately 103 square kilometers or 40 square miles in the annexation territory. There are approximately 600 residents that currently reside within the annexation territory. • Can land still be considered for annexation? The Province of Alberta has now made the decision on annexation and no changes can be made. The Board Order (authorizing annexation) has been issued at this time and no changes can be made. There were considerable opportunities for landowners/ residents to provide comment throughout the process. Since September 2005, when the mediated portion of the annexation began, 11 open houses were held.
