How much it does it cost to remove two impacted wisdom teeth (in Australia)?
The cost varies depending on the severity. I had one impacted out in the chair of a maxillofacial specialist under IV seadation in 2005. My tooth was impacted, twisted and some bone had to be removed. It was $550 for the surgeon and $300 for the anesthetic which I got about $250 back from medicare. I have to go back to see the specialist in a few weeks. The other 3 are much worse than the one removed and require hospitalisation. The consultant fee is $30 more this time. I’m guessing to have them removed this time around will be about $1500 (I’m hoping). This time round I have private health which should reduce some of the cost Let us know how you go with it all.
