How much is the government watching?
Everything. There are cameras installed to monitor every movement within the Center. They could be watching your character eat, sleep, read a magazine on the toilet, have sex. The cameras are varied and numerous; your character will surely notice the rather obvious ones in hallways and other public areas. But there are also tiny, hidden spy cameras in the apartments, some employing infrared or night vision technology. All phones are tapped, and you never know when a mirror goes two-ways. This isn’t to say nothing ever gets overlooked, but it’s probably safest to assume your character is being watched.
