The Client Security Fund assessment is set by the North Carolina Supreme Court depending upon the needs of the fund. For 2007, the Supreme Court ordered an assessment of $25.00. The assessment must be paid at the same time as the annual dues on or before June 30. The dues notice mailed to all active members of the State Bar in December includes notice of the Client Security Fund assessment.
