How much is the average broadband connection in any major city in Colombia, South America?
It is possible to get both ADSL and Cable internet access in most major cities in Colombia. See below for websites pertaining to internet access in various places. If I have done my currency conversion correctly, and translated these web sites correctly given my limited Spanish fluency, ADSL runs between $7700 and $17900 in Colombian pesos, or $3.46 to $8.04 U.S. dollars, depending on company and city. I was only able to find cable internet access pricing for one city, Bucaramanga, and that ranged from $1.12 to $11.32 U.S. depending on the package chosen. For ADSL: Columbia-Telecom/Telefonia: provides ADSL in cities between 100K and 1 million in population. http://www.telefonica.com.co Empresa de Telefones de Bogota: provides ADSL in Bogota, Wimax in other cities including Medellin, Barranquilla, Palmira, Cartagena, Santa Maria. http://www.etb.com.co Empresas Publicas de Medelli
