How much is it to rent a DJ?

I live in WI and most places I checked with are $600 and up… but I was fortunate to find a guy in the Green Bay area that does it for very cheap (cuz it’s not his ONLY job, and he knows that weddings are expensive enough as it is, and he doesn’t DJ cuz he needs the money, he just likes doing it) and he charges $75 for the first hour, then $50 for every 2 hours after that, so for 7 hours (he’s going to play dinner music as well, which I wasn’t gonna do but who can pass that up for that price?!) it will be $225. So, depending on where you live and if you’re lucky enough to find a guy like I did who doesn’t DJ for a living and isn’t greedy, you can get off pretty cheap, but even $600 isn’t bad, either… Good luck!
