It depends on how many transplants are needed and the charge per transplant. The price also varies according to the country where the surgery takes place. And if the method being used to harvest the transplants is the older strip extraction surgery where multiple 8-10″ x 1/4″ strips of hair bearing scalp are surgically excised from the back and sides of the head with a scalpel and then diced into follicular unit transplants by technicians under a microscope, or the newer FUE(Follicular Unit Extraction) method where the surgeon extracts each 1-3 hair follicular unit transplant from all over the back and sides of the scalp. The latter method is more time intensive for the surgeon and tends to cost more.
