This was selected as Best Answer Hello, It depends on how much you value it, first. And second, how much you need a particular other to “value” it for you, and if in the end that really matters. In a public profile, how can everyone be satisfied? I think it’s always good to be your own best self. I’d like to suggest a way of thinking about the “failed” part of the dilemma. This reminds me of a lunch I attended where a student asked of what use his Master’s in Liberal Arts could possibly be in the business, or for that matter any, world. I told him the answer was either it was a waste of money and effort and wouldn’t help at all, or it could provide the foundation of everything he wanted in life…and by extension, his work if he decided to make it relevant by continuing to learn in all the diverse ways such programs teach.
