How much is a 1971 eagle head silver doller worth?
The only dollar coins made in 1971 were the following, the non silver circulation strike copper/nickel Eisenhower dollars. Ike on the obverse and an eagle on the moon reverse. These still show up today at banks and are worth a dollar. There were special made 40% silver uncirculated dollars from the mint that came in a blue envelope they have an S mint mark and the 40% Proof Ike’s that came in a brown box also S mint mark. if your coin has an S mint mark it is 40% silver if not then it is not silver. The silver Ike’s sell for around $5 to $6. The mint mark if any is above the date.
