The Maxi-Cure requires a pH of 6.8 or greater can treat hard water up to 25gpg, will filter high levels of Ferrous and Ferric Iron up to 10ppm (mg/L), Manganese up to 8ppm (mg/L) Hyrogen Sulfide Gas up to 10ppm (mg/L) as well as unpleasant tastes and odors. The Iron Max will not treat iron bacteria, sulfur reducing bacteria, colloidal iron, or organic iron. If these bacteria’s are present you will need to chlorinate your well to prevent any iron bacteria or sulfur reducing bacteria from passing through the Iron Max well water filter.
