How much inferential statistics should students know for the AP Psychology Exam?
Students should understand that the goal of inferential statistics is to be able to make inferences (educated guesses) about a population using data from a sample of that population. This should include the factors that make such inferences more accurate and justifiable. Inferential statistical procedures assess the variability of a sample and use that variability in making inferences about the population.
