How much horse power can i get from a 318 truck motor?
you can get around 425 from it and that’s with boring it out,the only problem with boring it though it makes the cylinder walls thin and it runs hotter than it should run all the time,a 318 is limited on the amount of power you can get from it,but i ran one with around 425 horse power coming from the rear wheels ,we put it on a Dino and tested it,but that’s pushing it really hard to get that from it,but they run extremely good with that amount of power and are very strong,if it was a 360 you could go much farther with it,because of the bore and stroke the 360 has,good luck with it.
