How much homework do students have?
In Upper School the standard expectation is that for each course a student may have an average of 45 minutes per night of homework. Of course, we all understand that averages are based on a range; some students may take longer in some subjects or on particular assignments while others may find they complete the work in less time. Given the significant time students need to devote to homework, it is important for Upper Schoolers to use their free time during school effectively. This can be particularly important during seasons when a student may have athletic or other commitments outside of school. Can a student take both music and art (or any other elective) at the same time? Remember that after setting aside time for lunch and the five core academic courses there are only two remaining periods in the day.
