How much history is available for companies on WVB?
For most large companies the data goes back to 1984. When a new company is added to the database WVB tries to go back a minimum of four years, with the obvious exceptions of newly created companies or recent privatizations. However, in certain parts of the world, companies might be added to the database with one year of data. Currently a project is underway to add the US companies to the database. WVB will add the last two years in the database during the year 2000, and then will add 5 years of historical data, starting with the S&P 500 in 2001. Clients can make specific company requests to add required history.
