How much hard drive space is needed to dual boot a netbook?
Depending on what your second operating system is, 160 gigabytes should be adequate space for a dual-booting computer. However, you can’t easily dual-boot OS X with any version of Windows or Linux without going through a long process of either hacking your OS X installer (not advisable) or purchasing a $250 piece of hardware known as the EFI-X. Either way, you probably won’t be able to dual-boot OS X with Windows or Linux unless you have time to dedicate to such a project. If you want to try, just search around on Google or something for “dual-boot OS X & Windows” or “hackintosh” (the geek term for this type of computer setup). I hate to be the black cloud here, but that’s just the way it is. Good luck, though!
