Unless an exception is approved, a classified employee that is less than full-time, the employee must take a number of hours of unpaid furlough leave in portions equal to the average number of hours worked per working day multiplied by 12. If the employee is other than classified, e.g., unclassified or non-classified, an employee who works less than full time with a fixed schedule shall take as furlough leave the portion of an 8-hour day that his scheduled workweek or biweekly schedule bears to a full-time workweek or biweekly schedule.
