How much foreign currency will be made available to Venezuelan businesses?
CADIVI figures indicate that in 2008 they approved foreign currency transactions valued at US $48 billion, an record amount since the creation of CADIVI. Of this amount US $ 26.4 billion was given for imports. The food sector was the largest recipient getting over US $ 4.5 billion, followed by commerce which got US $ 3.4 billion, automotive got US $3.7 billion and the health sector US $ 2.7 billion.
