my mum was very ill when i was younger and we had a stair lift fitted, im not sure of the cost as she had cancer and macmillan payed for it, but it made a huge difference and when i was out doing shopping etc it really gave me peace of mind knowing she wouldn’t be trying to walk down the stairs in a frail state, well worth it!
