Bearded Dragon’s, or Beardie’s make excellent pets! We just got our first this summer. Everyone said they are great reptiles for beginners, and they were right! Ours is very friendly and I would even say affectionate. He likes to be handled and held and he closes his eyes when being stroked. I’ve seen websites that say a fully grown Beardie can be $100 to $400, but besides the cost, it’s better to get a younger one and raise him. You’ll get to know and love each other. Being a responsible pet owner costs a lot more than just the cost of the pet, but some of the Beardie’s needs are a one time purchase.
