How much food should I feed my 9 pound puppy?
It depends what kind of food you are feeding him. There are feeding recommendations on weight and age on the dog food bag. As a rule of thumb, your puppy will eat less amounts with healthier foods because its getting the nutrients that it needs and not fillers. Stay away from any food that you can find in the grocery store, and stick with premium foods found in pet stores. Sticking to premium foods will allow your puppy to eat less (saving you more in the long run, even though its a little more expensive), poop less, shed less, and overall be healthier (which means less trips to the vet).
