It depends on how small the material is ground up, either one can be faster or slower, faster if the material is smaller. Vermicomposting needs less tending, watering and turning and yields a higher quality product, Remember- NO WEEDS! Take the veggies and stuff and use a food processer or blender so you just pour it in.
