How much experience should I have in singing & acting before I try and get an agent?
You could try to get involved with local choirs or singing things and definetly the theatre group. Honestly, you should probably have atleast basic training in the fields but that’s just what I think. The next step would be to call an agency and find out if it’s possible for you to have a meeting with them. Be prepared with a demo of your singing and maybe a video of your best acting. You should also get head shots taken to start your portfolio. You should try many agencies too. You need to broaden your options. Don’t give up if you don’t get it the first couple of tried just get out there. You could also just start by making your own portfolio and going to auditions. ….you never know who will be in the audience! Hope I helped and good luck with everything!!
