How much exercise is advisable to reduce BC risk?
We don’t know the answer to this. Some studies indicate that 3-4 hours of exercise each week at high intensity might be needed. But if women exercise at least 30 minutes a day and keep their weight down that should be helpful. Women should aim for a body mass index of less than 25. Body mass index (or BMI) is height/weight² using metric measurements. Women can ask their health care professionals to help them calculate their BMI.
