How much energy must be saved by a project to become eligible for financing under RUSEFF?
At least 10 % of energy has to be saved compared to the previous technical solution applied, either in total or as the specific energy consumption per unit of production. For the economic feasibility there is a good indicator: On average, each USD invested under RUSEFF should result in energy savings that exceed 4 kWh/a (equivalent) of primary fuel savings. Here one kWh of electricity savings corresponds to 3.5 kWh primary fuel savings.
