How much electricity can a coal power station make?
A coal power station is a thermal power station. The coal is burnt in order to super heat the water. The steam that is obtained (after the evaporation of water due to heating) is fed thro’ ducts to the turbine in order to produce electricity. The power depends upon the amount of water that is being heated and the capacity of the turbine, in all, as said below, it depends upon the capacity of the power generating station.
As others said it can be made as big as the resources required to run it. Let me just add that some large coal plants are being built near coal mines so that the endless need for coal to fuel it can be met locally and then the electricity delivered by power transmission lines into the rest of the power grid.
