How much education is needed to become an acupuncturist?
Acupuncturists undergo a rigorous educational program. Our Director and Chief Acupuncturist, Rachel Runge, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine; she completed her Master degree in Oriental Medicine in 3 years and studied in Beijing, China for advanced study. Both the State and National Boards require further continuing education so acupuncturists remain up to date and continue increasing their skills.
