You are totally out of luck. They will not sell you Duty free cigarettes when travelling between Uk and Ireland. They are on sale at the airport but if you try to buy them they will check your boarding pass and refuse to sell them. Duty free is only available for travel between countries outside of the EU. A carton of 200 cigarettes at Dublin Airport is €81. There is no way around it.
