How much does the University of Waterloo contribute to the Pension Plan?
The University of Waterloo is responsible for funding the balance of the cost of benefits earned under the Pension Plan in excess of the member’s contributions. This amount is determined by an actuarial valuation filed with the regulatory authorities on an annual basis. University funding of the Plan is well in excess of members’ aggregate contributions.
