How much does the Pelamis cost to produce?
A. As the Pelamis Wave Energy Converter is still a relatively new technology, it is constantly being developed and improved. Therefore at this stage of production each new device will still incur certain costs that are tied in to the research and development of the Pelamis, rather than the manufacture of an individual device. So unfortunately it is not possible to provide a set figure for production costs per unit. Of course as production increases with demand we will expect to see economies of scale and increased cost efficiency.
