The nose is 1. In shops you have to pay the whole 1 upfront, but on the Nose Deposit Scheme you pay 30p per nose upfront and the remaining 70p after Red Nose Day, once the noses have been sold to the schoolchildren. There is also a charge for postage and packaging.
