Most games are free, while a very small number charge a small fee (usually 99 cents) for each pick. Check out the rules for the specific game you’re playing to find out if there’s a fee. We always clearly note any additional charges, ’cause hidden fees suck. If you’re playing via text messaging, we’ll ask you to accept the fees before charging you anything so that it’s super-obvious. And, of course, there’s always a “free method of entry.” If you’re playing on your mobile phone, keep in mind that standard text-messaging rates from your carrier do apply, so you do, of course, pay the cost of sending and receiving text messages based on your mobile phone service plan. Most plans charge between 4 and 15 cents. Check out your plan to determine what you’re paying. And consider upgrading to an unlimited text plan if you’re playing a lot.
