How much does it usually cost for grain a month for a horse?
There are too many variables to be able to give you a good answer. It depends on the horse, is it an easy keeper? Depends on the amount of work the horse will get, the amount of pasture the horse will get, the amount, quality and type of hay/haylage the horse will get and the quality of the feed. For instance if you have good pasture, the horse is an easy keeper and you have good hay, you may not even need to feed grain. If the horse is ‘hot’, you have no pasture and the horse gets a lot of work you can look at money for hay, money for a good feed that won’t make the horse hotter and good quality supplements.
