To use the the chunnel and nothing else then you will be travelling by car from Folkestone to Frethun. You drive down the M20 and enter the Eurotunnel terminal then drive onto the train and drive off at the other end directly onto the French motorway. They call the trains “Le Shuttle”. The other way of using the tunnel is by Eurostar train from London to Paris or Brussels, but that is not what your question was asking. At the moment Eurotunnel are doing a special of £49 for a car (family saloon, not a “Chelsea Tractor”), single. This includes passengers so it works out at about £12.25 each. That’s quite cheap.
