How much does it cost to study and live in the UK?
The basic charge at a UK university is the tuition fee, which covers the cost of instruction and other academic services. Tuition fees are set by individual institutions and can therefore vary. The latest figures show that overseas students will pay from $10,000 – $12,000 per year for an arts degree, from $12,000 – $15,000 per year for a science degree, and from $20,000 – $25,000 per year for a clinical medicine degree. Students planning to live in London, Oxford or Cambridge should have an additional $10,000 – $13,000 per year for room, board and other personal expenses. Those living outside of those areas should plan for $9,000 – $12,000 per year.
