The true cost of any assay involves consideration of a number of elements (labour, consumables, reagents, instrument depreciation and overheads). The cost of GreenScreen reagents is governed by a price-volume matrix taking account of the volume and frequency of use. This matrix accommodates for the various stages of the drug discovery process where GreenScreen can be used e.g. ‘hits to lead’ screening, lead optimisation screening or pre-regulatory lead candidate screening. For low numbers of compounds, the cost is 250 GBP per compound using kit reagents, 750 GBP for contract testing outsourced to Gentronix.
