A. At current Sarasota County Electrical rates a 1 hp pump will cost $41.74 to operate 8 hours per day for 30 days. Pool chemicals will cost about $20 for a total of $61.70 per month. Please keep in mind that every pool is different and these costs will vary accordingly. Also, we offer other more energy efficient pumps that though an upgrade, they will more than pay for themselves over the life of the pump.
