I only need to replace the rack and pinion on the left side which is the driving side. A: If your going to change it out yourself,it shouldn’t be over a$100.I find that the best way is to get the parts first.The new boot and tie – rod Jack your car up and remove the tire .Then remove the tie-rod from the spindle.Before you start to screw the tie-rod out of the rack & pinion be sure to measure the amount that you screw out so you can put it back just the same amount.This will help you to keep it in aligne.
