A. 8. The cost for the processing an Annulment varies from Diocese to Diocese. It can be as low as $300.00 and as high as $2,000.00, all depending on the complexity of the case. Usually the cost only covers part of the process. This money does not go to the priest or staff personally. It goes into the Diocesan funds to help defray the expense of Annulment proceedings. No one is ever denied an Annulment process because of his/her inability to pay the court expenses. In such cases, the cost can be reduced or waived when the Petitioner states his/her reasons for declaring financial hardship.
