How much does it cost to live in London for 11 days? ?
It really depends on whether you can make friends with someone in London and when you plan to be there. I live in London. My suggestion is that you spend some time making a real list of what you plan to do and then get in touch with London residents, explaining that you are willing to pay if you can somehow be accomodated by them for that period. Honest. The alternatives are not worth considering. London is horribly expensive and you would be vulnerable to being ripped off by accomodation expenses. Sorry, but that’s my view and I’ve lived here now for some 10 years.
Shop well for hotels/hostels, and use Travelcards or Oyster cards for transport, or just walk ’cause it’s so easy and fun. I have a free place to stay and I still spend about 50 pounds per day ($80 or so depending on the exchange rate) on transportation, food, and sightseeing. If you stay in a hostel I’d say $100-$120 per day minimum, but there are many free museums and attractions, so mix it up and save some cash. Have a great time, it’s a wonderful city. You could spend a couple days just walking through the neighborhoods and parks for free!
