How much does it cost to live in Japan (Yokohama)?
I lived near Yokohama, and generally speaking, a family of 2 can get by on about 180,000yen a month if you live frugally and don’t have any major purchases or special needs. You will have to find a pre-furnished apartment that allows weekly or monthly rental which also accepts foreigners, so it will cost you a bit more for that. The good news is that many of those come with some or all utilities included in the price.
