How much does it cost to have MSD review and approve an encroachment?
MSD only requires the property owner to pay the city or county Recorder of Deeds fee schedule recording costs for the encroachment agreement. This cost is only a nominal amount. The property owner however is also responsible for the cost of all design drawings and/or exhibits prepared for MSD review and approval. Preparation of these drawings may involve contracting the services of a professional engineer or surveyor (An exhibit “A” Encroachment Plat is normally required, as a minimum, for approval and recording).
