How much does it cost to have a lower wisdom tooth removed on the NHS (UK)?

It would cost; * £44.60 if it was a normal extraction, and it was booked beforehand. ie if you had a check-up first and they advised extraction of the wisdom tooth. the whole course of treatment will be £44.60 including the checkup and any other treatment you might need for example scale and polish etc. * £16.20 if you went as an emergency case for just a one off appointment (classed as urgent/emergency treatment) * If the tooth is very impacted and your regular dentist cannot do it in the surgery, they may refer you to hospital or a specialist surgical dentist, this may be NHS or private depending on where you decide to go. but if you go somewhere NHS then no it being impacted makes no difference to the cost – £44.60. All this assuming you don’t have any exemptions, ie matenity, tax credits, income support, disability, if you do it would all be free.
