Tess.J, you need to contact your local DMV office or wherever you get your license and ask them your question. Canada may be like the USA states. It all varies from state to state here so in order for you to know the exact amount or if it actually costs anything they can tell you exactly what it may or may not cost. Also while you have them on the phone you might want to ask them what required documentation they require from you when you go in to get the license. In doing this you will know prior to going down to the license office what you will need when you get there. It’s not fun to stand in line for what seems like hours and might be hours only to find out you don’t have all the required documentation needed to get your license. Remember, no talking on the phone or texting while driving.
